Dr. Brown is a Bariatric and General Surgeon for Kettering Bariatrics which is certified as an American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. He is a Board-Certified general surgeon who focuses on minimally invasive procedures including those in the treatment of obesity. He was one of the first surgeons in Northern Kentucky to perform single site incision laparoscopic (SILS) cholecystectomy.

Dr. Brown's interest in bariatric surgery began during his surgical residency at Marshall University. He continued to gain bariatric surgical experience in private practice through Advanced Surgical Care, PSC in Northern Kentucky. In May 2011, he joined David Schumacher, MD, FACS at Kettering Bariatrics and the network’s thriving Bariatric program. Dr. Brown has participated in over 400 Bariatric operations. He performs laparoscopic Roux En Y gastric bypass, laparoscopic Sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding.
